Our Promise

Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee

Every Barhayee piece is made to be used. If the original workmanship of your piece fails during normal, intended household or commercial use, we will assess the problem and, where the claim is approved, repair the piece or replace it with a reasonably comparable Barhayee piece.

What “Lifetime” Means

Ownership matters.

“Lifetime” means for as long as the product is owned by its original purchaser, its original gift recipient, or the business that originally purchased it. The guarantee is not transferable when the product is resold, donated, or otherwise transferred to another owner.

What Is Covered

The guarantee covers structural failure attributable to the original construction or craftsmanship of the product, including:

  • Failure of a properly used glued or joined connection.
  • Separation of an inlay caused by a workmanship defect.
  • A handle, fitted component, or piece of hardware becoming loose because of its original installation.
  • Another structural failure that Barhayee determines was caused by the way the piece was originally made or assembled.

Coverage is based on the cause of the failure, not simply the age of the product.

Household and Commercial Use

Commercial use means use by a business in a manner consistent with the product’s intended function, such as serving, presentation, display, office use, hospitality use, or corporate gifting.

Commercial use may produce normal wear more quickly than household use. Faster wear caused by the frequency or intensity of commercial use is not, by itself, a workmanship defect.

What Is Not Covered

The guarantee does not cover:

  • Scratches, cuts, dents, stains, fading, finish wear, patina, or other normal signs of use.
  • Damage caused by a dishwasher, commercial dishwasher, soaking, standing water, excessive heat, excessive dryness, incompatible sanitizers or chemicals, or improper storage.
  • Warping, cracking, checking, or movement caused by neglecting the supplied care instructions or exposing the piece to unsuitable environmental conditions.
  • Accidents, drops, impacts, overloading, misuse, abuse, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
  • High-volume industrial use, rental use, or continuous production use unless Barhayee agreed to that use in writing before purchase.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized alterations, refinishing, repairs, installation, or third-party hardware.
  • Natural variation in wood colour, grain, figure, texture, or minor seasonal movement that does not affect safe use.
  • Damage to other property, food or product loss, loss of use, lost revenue, business interruption, third-party labour, or other indirect costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

How to Make a Claim

Start with clear details.

Contact Barhayee and provide:

  • Photographs clearly showing the product and the problem.
  • A short description of what happened and how the product was being used.
  • Proof of purchase or other reasonable evidence that it is a genuine Barhayee product.
  • For a commercial claim, the name of the original purchasing business.

Stop using the product if the issue could make it unsafe. Do not ship or deliver a product until Barhayee has reviewed the claim and provided instructions.

Barhayee will determine whether the issue resulted from original workmanship. If the claim is approved, Barhayee may repair the original piece or replace it with a reasonably comparable piece at its discretion. Because wood is a natural material and designs change, an exact visual or material match may not always be available.

The guarantee covers the approved repair or replacement work. Unless Barhayee agrees otherwise in writing, shipping, transportation, removal, installation, commercial freight, and third-party labour are not included.

This voluntary guarantee is in addition to, and does not replace, any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
