What you share
If you join workshop updates, we collect your email address. If you send a custom-work inquiry, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, and project notes.
Customer and Order Information
Purchases from our current collection are completed through Etsy. Etsy processes checkout and payment information under its own privacy practices. Barhayee may receive information needed to make, personalize, deliver, and support an order, including the customer’s name, contact information, shipping address, product and personalization details, order messages, and transaction records. Barhayee does not intentionally collect or store full payment-card numbers through this website.
For custom commissions, we may also retain measurements, design preferences, reference photographs, quotations, approvals, and correspondence provided by the customer.
We use this information only to respond to inquiries, complete and support orders, administer our Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee, maintain required business and tax records, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Order information is not automatically added to our marketing list. Marketing messages are sent only where we have the appropriate consent.
Services involved
The site uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated spam. Custom-work inquiries are delivered through Resend. Workshop-update subscriber details are stored in a Neon database. Purchases from the current collection are completed through Etsy. The site does not currently send newsletter emails automatically; submitted update requests are stored for future owner-managed communication.
Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use our website. Google Analytics may use cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, referring website or campaign, engagement with pages, and interactions such as clicks on links leading to Etsy.
We use this information to improve our website, understand which products and content are useful to visitors, and evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing. We do not intentionally send Google names, email addresses, telephone numbers, contact-form contents, engraving instructions, order information, or other information intended to directly identify you.
Google processes information in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can limit cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
User-level and event-level Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Aggregated reporting may remain available for longer.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from workshop updates at any time. To ask for access to or deletion of information submitted through this site, send a request through the contact form.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected:
- Inquiries that do not result in an order are normally deleted or anonymized 24 months after the last meaningful communication.
- Order, invoice, payment, delivery, and related accounting records are normally kept for six years after the end of the tax year to which they relate.
- Information connected with an active guarantee claim is kept while the claim is being reviewed and for six years after it is resolved.
- Mailing-list information and evidence of consent are kept while a person remains subscribed. After an unsubscribe request, we stop marketing messages and retain only the minimal information needed to honour the request and demonstrate compliance.
- Information may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for a legal claim, chargeback, tax requirement, fraud investigation, or other legal obligation.
When information is no longer required, we delete it, securely destroy it, or remove identifying details so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with an individual. Anonymous business, product, and statistical information may be retained.
Customers may contact us to ask what personal information we hold or to request a correction or deletion. Some information may need to be retained where required for tax, legal, fraud-prevention, or guarantee-administration purposes.
